DTN Weather Summary

Bryce Anderson image
Bryce Anderson – DTN Meteorologist
Rain Thursday in Southern Plains

Light to moderate rain is in store for most of the Southern Plains along with portions of the southern Midwest Thursday. Other primary U.S. and Canadian Prairies crop regions will be dry. Temperatures will be milder in the Midwest, and continued warm for the season elsewhere with borderline hot values in the central and Southern Plains through Deep South. The southern-region rains favor soil moisture for winter wheat while causing some delays in corn and soybean harvest. Northern areas will again have improved conditions for spring wheat harvest. » More DTN Weather Commentary
